Bantu knots are perfect go-to set style now that summer is here. In this video, Samirah from Samirah Gilli shows us how to get this awesome no heat spiral banty knots on dry natural hair. If you have ever wanted nicely defined curls without using heat this is the style that will help you do that. I don’t know about you, but for me, the less heat the better. I’m always looking for ways to avoid using it.
Bantu knot is perfect for any hair type or style, for example, it’s perfect for those with heat damage who want to begin the process of transitioning to natural. If volume is important to you, then watch closely as she shows how to achieve great volume regardless of your length. You can do them on wet and or dry hair it’s up to you. I prefer to do my knots on dry hair no specific reason just my preference. This video uses a great method, one that I think will make your hair look its best. The after pictures are gorgeous so stick around for that and I’ll post some below.
Here are the step that she uses to get these perfect curls using bantu knots:
I did 4 large 2 strand twist using the LOC Method. I used Olive Oil as my Oil and KC Leave in as my Conditioner/Cream. After it dried I twisted the front section of my hair back and put the rest of my hair into a large 2 strand twist with a perm rod at the end which I hid in a bun. This helped stretch my hair even further.
