Quick tutorial on how to style Afro hair. If you want to sport a fierce afro this summer this video got you covered. It’s a low maintenance kind of style, it doesn’t take an incredibly long time to create and maintain. This style took about 40 minutes from start to finish and she used her homemade oil mixture and two combs. As far as maintenance go, each night she uses 2 sided twist-buns (Shown in video below) and nicely placed under a satin scarf.
One has to be careful though when doing low maintenance style like this, because you are more prone to screw things up and have to face the ruinous consequences later.
Even though style like this is common, but you have to remember there is a price to pay for carelessness. What do I mean by carelessness? I mean not taking care of your hair properly; not giving it enough moisture, not eating healthy enough to allow for a healthier scalp, or just put it up in a fro just so we can forgo hair care, or opt for harsh chemicals instead of taking the time to care for it.
With that said, I still think there are days you may not have the time, that’s completely understandable if you want to just put your hair in a bun and go. But, when you do have the time you do owe it to your hair for proper natural hair care.
