I saw this story last night and I thought how bizarre this story was. That a school would side with the bullies on the case of twelve year old Vanessa VanDyke. I’m very concern with the latest vitriol aim at African American girls over their hair. As a mom to an eight years old girl, it’s very disheartening to hear about these stories.
Though, I am relieved to hear this Florida Christian school is backing off their threats to expel her, but the situation, in my opinion, remained muddle. With natural hair styles becoming more and more popular everyday, will these kind of stories become the norm. State your opinion below!
