You Won’t Believe What Some Women Will Do To Grow Long Hair. I Had No Idea People Were Doing This. It Seems So Silly, It Makes Me Laugh, Lol!

inversion method

Hello Ladies,

There is a “new method” out there for hair growth (it’s not technically new) but it’s new to me, so I want to talk about it. It’s being referred to as the…’inversion method’.

What is the inversion method? You Ask.

Well, if you didn’t know, here it is; you simple put your head upside down for a matter of minutes (4 on average), you do this for a few consecutive days (about 7) then… voila! You just grew half to an inch of hair. This sounds innocuous enough right, and kind of make some scientific sense too. You figure being upside down does allow blood to flow to the head and that stimulation will help promote hair growth.

You don’t have to do a handstand; in fact, only few people are able to manage those. You can instead sit down on a chair or the side of your bed whichever one you prefer and put your head in between your knee… I just had the funniest picture in my mind while writing this. You know the saying, “put your head between your knee and kiss your a$$ good bye.” Lol! Is that really necessary? Is it that great of an outcome to put yourself through this? The truth is I don’t know, and as long as you do it through the privacy of your home why should anyone care… right?

I’ve seen the videos and pictures that have been used to back up those claims, but I got to tell you ladies, I’m very skeptical about this process. Here are some of the claims: Following the inversion method will result in up to and including one inch growth in a week. Now, According to livescience.com, hair grows about 4 to 6 inches per year. So I hope you can appreciate my skepticism.

As long as I can remember, there have always been schemes out there that prey upon women who are long hair enthusiast, these women want longer hair yesterday! In my mind I’m thinking, putting your head upside down to grow long hair!!! What’s next? Doing handstand over a rock to stimulate the scalp.

I can understand a woman’s desire to have long hair. In our culture here in the U.S, having long hair means you’re beautiful. Keep in mind, I’m not stating some objective truths – that’s just some people’s perception of what it means to be beautiful. Unfortunately, We even raise our kids to think this way too, so it’s no wonder even as adult we trip over ourselves just to have that piece of heaven. I wholeheartedly disagree with this view, I see no justification for it. And feel free to disagree with me as that is your right.

Should You Do It?

There have been reports of many positive results from women who have tried this. I get it, I can understand what the hype is all about, having long hair for some is the same as if they have found the holy grail. And not to sound too hypocritical, I do promote healthy long hair in this website. I’m not against long hair. If you’re one of the ones who want to give it a go, then, don’t let my skepticism stop you. It’s free and all you need is some hot oil to massage your scalp and hang over the side of your bed or couch for 3 to 5 mins for 7 days.

(Health Caution: Consult your physician if you have high blood pressure or if you’re pregnant. Especially, if you’re pregnant or have severe medical conditions stay away from it altogether.)

It’s not just a symbol of beauty in the Euro-centric mind set, it is a badge of ultimate feminine beauty as one man tried to convince me. It’s indoctrinated Euro-centric social dogma. I agree with your input on the matter and will not disagree. Many cultures within African nations don’t have this mind set. The Maisi tribe will actually think of us as particularly odd people, because for them only warrior men wear long locks, whereas single women and wives wear hair really short (what our culture calls shaved look or a fad) and decorate their whole bodies in colorful wraps, clothing and jewelry.

I wouldn’t be against your statement. After all, Hair is a zombie… only the inner hair bulb/root is the living part of the hair, the rest is dead built up protein. People make such a big deal over a part of the body that is DEAD! It’s the lease biological and medical important part of ourselves, yet billions waste on it. I find it quite amusing really. Meanwhile skin disorders, such as psoriasis and rosacea, are still lingering about – tormenting millions. Personally skin to me is more important and keeping it healthy.
